Surrey, British Columbia – Caroma®, the worldwide leader in high efficiency dual-flush toilets for commercial and residential use, will unveil an eco-friendly booth at the Greenbuild 2010 International Conference & Expo, that not only meets, but exceeds industry standards.  Greenbuild 2010 — presented by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and considered to be the world’s largest annual conference & expo dedicated to green building— will be held in Chicago from Nov. 17-19. This year is the first year that the USGBC will impose its new Greenbuild Mandatory Exhibition Green Guidelines (GMEGG) — green standards that exhibitors must abide by to exhibit at the show.

Although Caroma’s trade show booths already met many of the GMEGG requirements, Caroma welcomed the new guidelines and began preparing for Greenbuild 2010 months in advance. The new pop-up booth features Pionite® high-pressure laminate display boards, Evonik Cyro ACRYLITE® acrylic products, and PureBond® Panels with formaldehyde-free hardwood plywood technology. The new booth flooring is an EVA foam that is made from recycled material, and the pop-up displays are an eco-knit material that is made from recycled soda bottles. Although it’s common for companies to dispose of a booth post-show, Caroma has made the eco-conscious decision to re-use their Greenbuild booth at all trade shows moving forward.

“As an innovative leader in sustainable technologies for more than 70 years, we took it upon ourselves to take our booth to the next ‘green’ level,” said Derek Kirkpatrick, Caroma North American General Manager. “Caroma is proud that we not only met but exceeded the GMEGG’s requirements; we feel it only solidifies our position as a leader in green building design."

Located at booth #1601, Caroma will have several products on display at this year’s Greenbuild Expo, including: new pop-up displays from its Invisi™ Series II collection, the new Sydney Smart 305 1-Piece Water Closet, the new Somerton Smart 270 1-Piece Water Closet and the first Caroma low-flow showerhead – the Caroma Flow.
