Waterloo, Ontario – Caroma®, the world leader in innovative, high-efficiency toilet suites and sinks, has made a generous contribution in the form of product certificates to Habitat for Humanity®. The foundation’s affiliates have been able to utilize the full amount contributed by Caroma to carry out their dedicated mission of making home a matter of conscience and action.
The donation comes as part of the partnership that Habitat for Humanity has with the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH). CIPH is a not-for-profit trade association, acting as a single, unified voice for the plumbing and heating industry in Canada. Through the ongoing support of CIPH members like Caroma, Habitat for Humanity continues to help more families across Canada each year.
“We are extremely pleased that we can make a contribution of product certificates to an organization as notable and worthwhile as Habitat for Humanity,” said Derek Kirkpatrick, Caroma North America General Manager. “Being in a position to help make affordable home ownership a reality for the many families throughout Canada who are in need is an important cause that we stand firmly behind.”
Since Habitat for Humanity first took root in Canada in 1985, they have been intent on achieving one very important goal: to help break the cycle of poverty by ensuring Canadians everywhere have a safe, decent and affordable place to live. The miracle of a Habitat for Humanity home isn’t the structure itself; it’s the change that it enables. The houses they build help families build new lives by providing safe, stable and healthy living environments. Caroma’s generous commitment of product certificates, exchangeable for high-efficiency toilets, sinks, and other products for the bath, makes a direct and significant impact on those in need. The water-conserving products they donate also further Habitat for Humanity’s green mission.
“On top of all the great things Habitat for Humanity does, whenever possible, they build sustainable, energy-efficient and healthy housing,” added Kirkpatrick. “Lending our support to them is firmly in line with our conservation-minded philosophy that ‘one flush can make a difference’ in the world,” he concluded.
