A community of just over 75,000 people, a center of high-tech industry, and the mid-point of the beautiful San Francisco Peninsula, Redwood City is known for its great climate and profound sense of community.

One thousand FREE Caroma ultra low-flow toilets were given away on October 23rd and 30th 2004 to Redwood City water customers in exchange for their old high water-use toilets. Customers were responsible for installing their new toilets and returning their old toilets to the City for recycling.

It is the City's intent to, at a minimum, attain a "Certified" project status as defined in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) Rating System by the US Green Building Council. When complete, this project will likely be the first LEED™ Certified Project in the City of Santa Clarita and will be a demonstration of the City's commitment to greener development and responsible public policy.

There were 800 Caravelle 305 toilets installed in the student housing dormatories.

Utilizing the Metropolitan Water District's distribution system, the District provides wholesale water service to local water suppliers through nine service connections.

This municipality was part of a 1000 toilet giveaway program. They received Caroma 270 toilets.
